Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical disabilities or injuries to help improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. They create personalized treatment plans to address each patient's specific needs and goals, using techniques such as exercise, massage, and stretching.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions and create personalized treatment plans
- Help patients regain mobility, strength, and function through exercises and manual therapy
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercises to continue at home
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and empathy towards patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
