Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills they need for daily living and working.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments of individuals' physical and mental abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help clients improve their ability to perform daily activities.
3. Help clients participate in meaningful activities to promote their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
5. Document and track clients' progress throughout treatment.
6. Provide education and training to clients and their caregivers on how to continue practicing skills learned in therapy.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
2. Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
3. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
