Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PT/PTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and other physical ailments. The PTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, and educating patients on proper exercises and techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapist in evaluating patients' conditions and creating customized treatment plans.
2. Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments and exercises to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and flexibility.
3. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises at home.
5. Communicate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care for patients.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
7. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.
8. Attention to detail and ability to follow treatment plans accurately.
9. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients.
10. Strong problem-solving skills.
