Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide hands-on care to patients recovering from injuries or medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong understanding of physical therapy principles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to help improve patients' mobility and reduce pain
- Document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising physical therapist
- Instruct patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness of treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
- Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
