Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech and language disorders. You will work with patients of all ages to help them improve their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations to determine the extent of the disorder
- Developing individualized treatment plans to address specific communication goals
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, and cognitive-communication skills
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and monitor progress
- Educating patients and their families on techniques to improve communication outside of therapy sessions
- Keeping detailed records of patient progress and updating treatment plans as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech therapy
