Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain. The Physical Therapy Assistant will assist with exercises, modalities, and education to promote optimal recovery and improved quality of life for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement treatment plans designed by licensed physical therapists
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and movements
- Monitor and document patients' progress
- Educate patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation
- Provide support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist with patient exercises
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting is preferred
