Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication disorders, speech impediments, and swallowing difficulties. They will work with patients of all ages to help improve their speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct speech and language assessments to determine individual needs.
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
3. Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
5. Keep detailed records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
6. Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills.
7. Stay current on advancements in the field of speech therapy through continuing education and training.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
3. State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Experience working with patients with a variety of communication disorders.
