Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Join Our Team in Lamar, Colorado
General Description: We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and provide physical therapy services under the supervision of the physical therapist. As a PTA, you will implement patient interventions, collect related data, and modify interventions to ensure patient safety and comfort. Our patient care services are provided in in-patient, outpatient, and home health settings.
Responsibility: As a PTA, you will assist the physical therapist in treating patients of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities. You will work as part of a team to provide exceptional care to patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
Accountability: You will report directly to the Rehabilitation Manager and exercise supervision and management skills to perform technical procedures, operate equipment, and speak intelligently and professionally before others.
Special Demands: We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to job situations that involve many different people and projects, requiring independent action and judgment. Physical demands include competency to operate equipment, perform technical procedures, and exercise supervision and management skills.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, currently credentialed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board, and have a verification card of current instruction in BLS. A minimum of two (2) years of experience is preferred, and bi-lingual capabilities are helpful.
Working Environment: The general work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in a state-of-the-art, newly-built Rehabilitation Gymnasium. The area is clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned, but exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases is possible.
