Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain movement and manage pain resulting from injuries or chronic conditions. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and educating patients on proper rehabilitation techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in evaluating patients' physical conditions and creating individualized treatment plans.
2. Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
3. Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions.
4. Monitor and document patients' progress and report any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
5. Educate patients on home exercises and self-care techniques.
6. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
6. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility.
7. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
