Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team and help individuals improve their communication skills. The Speech Therapist will work with clients of all ages who have speech and language disorders, providing evaluations, therapy sessions, and personalized treatment plans to help them overcome their challenges.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct screenings and assessments to evaluate clients' speech and language abilities
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
3. Provide therapy sessions to improve clients' communication skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
4. Collaborate with clients' families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and well-rounded care
5. Keep detailed records of clients' progress and update treatment plans as needed
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech therapy
7. Educate clients and their families on techniques and strategies to continue improving communication skills outside of therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
2. Valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist
3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds
6. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
7. Compassionate and patient demeanor
8. Knowledge of various speech therapy techniques and strategies
