Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of occupational therapy services. The COTA will help clients improve their daily living skills and achieve their goals through therapeutic activities and exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation of clients' needs and development of treatment plans
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy to clients, including therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and their families on techniques for improving daily living skills
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- State licensure as a COTA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to client care
