Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients of all ages. You will work closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine the nature and extent of speech and language disorders
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on evaluation findings
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educating patients and their families on effective communication strategies and techniques
- Documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license and certification in speech therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices in speech therapy
