Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients, helping them regain mobility, strength, and function. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing customized treatment plans for patients
- Help patients perform exercises and stretches as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques, such as massage and joint mobilization
- Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid PTA license in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility exercises
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and equipment
