Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing care and treatment to patients with breathing disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patients' progress, and educate them on how to manage their conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine the best course of treatment
- Administering medication and breathing treatments
- Monitoring and adjusting ventilator settings for patients on life support
- Educating patients on how to manage their conditions and use medical equipment
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Documenting patient information and treatment plans in medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
- Experience working with patients of all ages
