Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide hands-on care and assistance to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other physical impairments. Your primary role will be to support patients in completing therapeutic exercises, monitoring their progress, and ensuring they are following treatment plans effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in evaluating patients and developing customized treatment plans
- Teach and demonstrate exercises and mobility techniques to patients
- Provide hands-on assistance and support during therapy sessions
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Help maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
- Certified or licensed as a physical therapy assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience when working with patients
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy
