Job title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders. Your primary goal will be to improve patients' lung function and overall quality of life through the use of various respiratory therapies and treatments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation
- Educate patients and their families on proper breathing techniques and equipment use
- Respond to emergency situations involving respiratory distress
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
