Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapeutic treatments to patients in order to improve their mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as prescribed by the physical therapist
- Instruct patients in exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as massage, heat/cold therapy, and electrical stimulation
- Monitor and record patient progress and report findings to the physical therapist
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification and licensing as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients as needed
