Job title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication disorders. They will create individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their speech and language abilities, as well as address swallowing difficulties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct evaluations to determine the nature and extent of communication disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address specific patient needs
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Keep detailed records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue progress outside of therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure in Speech Therapy
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with a variety of communication disorders and treatment techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
