Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
Our medical facility is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. They will work closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting diagnostic tests to evaluate patients’ lung capacity and function
- Administering inhalants and medications to patients
- Providing breathing treatments and therapies to assist with lung function
- Educating patients on how to use respiratory equipment and manage their condition
- Collaborating with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress
- Responding to emergency situations with respiratory care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
