Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists and provide care to patients undergoing physical therapy treatments. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring patients' progress, and educating them on proper exercise techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in carrying out treatment plans for patients
- Help patients perform exercises and therapeutic activities
- Monitor and record patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises at home
- Assist in setting up equipment and preparing treatment areas
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy space
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information and support
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
- Certification as a physical therapy assistant (PTA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- CPR certification required
