Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiovascular disorders. They will work closely with patients to develop and implement treatment plans to improve their respiratory health and quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine respiratory health status
- Administer respiratory treatments, including medication administration and ventilator management
- Monitor and assess patient response to treatments and adjust as necessary
- Educate patients on proper breathing techniques and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay current on developments in the field of respiratory therapy and maintain licensure and certifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
