Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or illnesses. You will help patients regain movement and manage pain through therapeutic exercises and interventions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
2. Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
3. Monitor patients' progress and report findings to the supervising physical therapist.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home.
5. Administer modalities such as heat, cold, and ultrasound as directed by the physical therapist.
6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a physical therapy assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
6. Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.
