Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to help individuals improve their ability to carry out daily tasks and activities. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting exercises and activities, and documenting progress to help clients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist Occupational Therapists in evaluating clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
2. Develop and implement treatment plans to help clients improve their functional independence.
3. Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to address clients' specific needs.
4. Provide guidance and support to clients and their families to promote overall well-being.
5. Document clients' progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
7. Stay current on best practices and trends in occupational therapy to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
2. Must have a current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
6. Detail-oriented and organized.
7. Ability to adapt to changing work environments and client needs.
