Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (OT)
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (OT) will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide assistance and support to patients in their rehabilitation and treatment plans. This role will involve working closely with patients to help them regain movement, strength, and function in order to improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans based on the recommendations of the occupational therapist.
2. Provide hands-on therapy to patients under the guidance of the occupational therapist.
3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to improve function and mobility.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
7. Assist with equipment set-up and maintenance.
8. Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. Compassionate and patient-centric approach to care.
6. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility exercises.
7. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
8. Ability to follow treatment plans accurately.
9. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
