Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries and improve their physical abilities. This individual will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and educating patients on exercises and techniques to promote healing and overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient
- Assist patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Provide education to patients on proper techniques and exercises
- Assist with modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure coordinated care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with physical tasks
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
