Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside physical therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, performing therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patients' progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in evaluating patients and developing treatment plans.
2. Instruct and supervise patients in performing therapeutic exercises.
3. Use various modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, as directed by the therapist.
4. Monitor and document patients' progress and report back to the therapist.
5. Help maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
6. Provide support to patients during their therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with exercises.
8. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
