Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the physical therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and rehabilitation activities
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 1+ years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred
