Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing treatment to patients with various injuries or illnesses. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in creating and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Instruct patients in exercises and activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion
- Help patients with therapeutic exercises, massage, and other techniques as directed by the physical therapist
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises and manual therapy
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
