Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to assist in providing therapy services to patients in need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others improve their quality of life through occupational therapy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment plans
- Work with patients to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
- Document patient progress and communicate with therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients using various techniques and equipment
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving daily living skills
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques
