Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside Physical Therapists to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with exercises, providing therapeutic treatments, and documenting progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
2. Provide hands-on treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
3. Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercises.
4. Document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist.
5. Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
7. Follow treatment plans and adjust interventions as needed.
8. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field.
2. State certification/licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
6. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises.
7. Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
8. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
