Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with physical therapists to provide hands-on care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and providing support and instruction to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to patients
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate and instruct patients in proper techniques
- Assist with equipment setup and maintenance
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
