Job Title: Director of Rehab (Interim DOR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehab (Interim DOR) to lead our rehabilitation department on a temporary basis. The Interim DOR will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rehabilitation program, including managing staff, creating individualized treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy, as well as previous experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients
- Supervise and mentor rehab staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatment
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for the rehabilitation department
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy
- Current state license in therapy discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation therapy
- Proven track record of successful program development and implementation
