Job title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist provides support to individuals who are struggling with physical, mental, developmental or emotional challenges. They help patients develop or recover daily living and work skills, through the use of therapy techniques and exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine patients' needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Help patients with daily activities and exercises to improve motor skills and coordination
- Assist patients in adapting to their work environment to ensure optimal functioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about techniques for improved function and independence
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with patients across varying age groups and diagnoses
