Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients with physical disabilities or injuries. They will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patients' progress, and educating patients on proper rehabilitation techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapist in evaluating and treating patients
2. Help patients with therapeutic exercises and activities
3. Monitor and document patient progress
4. Educate patients on proper use of assistive devices
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy area
6. Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
7. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in physical therapy assistant program
2. State licensure or certification as a physical therapy assistant
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
5. Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment
6. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises
7. Compassion and empathy for patients' needs
