Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary problems. This position plays a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients with respiratory issues, collaborating with healthcare providers, and educating patients on proper breathing techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and evaluating patients with respiratory conditions
- Administering medications and treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians
- Setting up and monitoring ventilators and other life support equipment
- Educating patients on proper breathing techniques and disease management
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans
- Documenting patient care and treatment in medical records
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life-saving interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
