Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients on at-home exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
2. Conduct exercises and stretches with patients to improve mobility and strength.
3. Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques for at-home exercises.
5. Assist with equipment setup and maintenance.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
7. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
