Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide physical therapy services to patients with various conditions. The Physical Therapy Assistant will assist in creating treatment plans, instructing patients in exercises and activities, and monitoring their progress to ensure optimal recovery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients.
2. Implement treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist.
3. Instruct patients in exercises and activities to improve strength, mobility, and function.
4. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the physical therapist.
5. Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction.
6. Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with mobility.
