Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human anatomy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others improve their quality of life through physical therapy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretching, and massage
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to improve mobility and strength
- Work collaboratively with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Empathy and compassion for patients undergoing physical therapy
