Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients suffering from injuries or chronic conditions. Your primary role will be to assist in implementing therapeutic programs, monitoring patients' progress, and educating them on exercises and self-care techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Collaborate with physical therapists to develop treatment plans for patients.
2. Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities.
3. Provide hands-on therapy, including massage and stretching.
4. Monitor and record patients' progress during therapy sessions.
5. Educate patients on proper body mechanics and injury prevention.
6. Help patients with mobility and daily living activities.
7. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
8. Keep accurate records of patient treatments and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Excellent physical stamina and dexterity.
6. Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
7. Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
