Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities to help them develop or recover necessary daily living skills. Your goal will be to improve clients' ability to perform everyday tasks and activities and to provide them with the necessary tools to thrive in their home, work, and community environments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Implement interventions and therapeutic activities to improve clients' motor skills, cognitive function, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Provide education and training to clients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment use
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing occupational therapy practice
