Job Title: Speech Therapist

Job Summary:

A Speech Therapist, also known as a Speech-Language Pathologist, is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. They work with clients of all ages to improve their speech and language skills, as well as their ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conducting screenings and evaluations to assess clients' speech and language abilities.

2. Developing personalized treatment plans to address clients' specific communication needs.

3. Providing therapy sessions to improve clients' speech and language skills.

4. Monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout the course of treatment.

5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and teachers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

6. Educating clients and their families on speech and language disorders and how to support treatment at home.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

2. State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

4. Experience working with clients with a variety of speech and language disorders.

5. Knowledge of current best practices in speech therapy.
