Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who are struggling with physical, mental, developmental, or emotional challenges to help them improve their ability to perform daily tasks and lead independent lives. You will develop personalized treatment plans, assess clients' abilities and needs, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and limitations.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans to improve clients' functional abilities and independence.
3. Provide hands-on therapy to improve clients' motor skills, strength, coordination, and cognitive abilities.
4. Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to improve clients' quality of life.
5. Work with clients to develop strategies for coping with daily challenges and achieving their goals.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
7. Keep detailed records of clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
8. Educate families and caregivers on how to support clients in their daily activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- State licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment.
- Compassion and empathy for clients facing challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
