Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing care plans based on the physical therapist's evaluation
- Teach patients exercises and techniques to improve movement and reduce pain
- Monitor and report on patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Provide hands-on therapy, such as stretching, massage, and ultrasound therapy
- Assist with documenting patient progress and updating medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting
