Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team and assist our licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others recover from injuries and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans under the direction of a licensed physical therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to help improve strength, mobility, and function
- Record patient progress and report any changes to the physical therapist
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue progress at home
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a physical therapy assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common physical therapy techniques
- Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
