Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities. Your primary goal will be to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapy programs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in evaluating patients' conditions and developing individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' functional abilities
- Monitor and record patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care and progress
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
- Must hold a current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care
