Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating individuals with communication disorders, including speech, language, and swallowing difficulties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with individuals of all ages, and be committed to providing quality care to improve patients' overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting evaluations to assess patients' communication and swallowing disorders
- Developing individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs
- Providing therapy sessions to improve patients' speech and language skills
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Educating patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Keeping detailed records of patients' progress and treatment outcomes
- Staying current on new developments in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
