Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing treatment to patients with injuries or disabilities, helping them improve their mobility and alleviate pain. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with patients to ensure they receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans for patients
- Help patients with exercises and therapeutic techniques
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on proper techniques for at-home exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and best practices
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
