Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. They will work with patients of all ages to improve their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' communication needs.
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
3. Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, voice, and fluency skills.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
5. Monitoring and documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
6. Educating patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and strategies.
7. Participating in continuing education to stay current on best practices and treatment options.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Valid license to practice as a speech therapist.
3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
4. Experience working with patients with a variety of communication disorders.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions.
8. Proficiency in conducting evaluations and creating treatment plans.
