Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary problems. You will work under the supervision of physicians to provide respiratory care services in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' respiratory function
2. Administer medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients on life support
4. Educate patients on breathing exercises and techniques
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
6. Respond to emergency situations involving respiratory distress
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
2. Current RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
3. State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
8. Physical stamina to lift and maneuver equipment as needed
