Job title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities in order to help them improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. You will assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them regain skills and independence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to determine patients' abilities and limitations
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
3. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being
4. Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
6. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Document patient progress and communicate with patients' families and caregivers
8. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
6. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
7. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
